Routes to Work South.

Our free and confidential service is available to anyone, not working and living in South Lanarkshire. It could be you’ve recently left a job, been out of work for a while, had health problems or caring responsibilities, or be looking for your first job – whatever your circumstances, we can help.

We will give you advice and practical support on all aspects of finding a job. This will be on a one-to-one basis with one of our experienced Key Workers, who will also be able to give you information on learning and training opportunities.

Our Key Workers will meet you locally in a venue which suits you. They work in over 25 community venues throughout South Lanarkshire every week. They can help with jobs, training, further education, health, finance, childcare and much more.

Routes to Work South have developed a number of short employer led training programmes which train clients for specific jobs. In the last year, these programmes have trained people for retail, construction, call centre and social care jobs.

We are currently running a series of Rebuilding Opportunities courses which will train clients for jobs in the construction industry. Options include plastering, tiling, groundworks, joinery, bricklaying and rail track operators.

Routes to Work South is a Training For Work Provider. This programme can assist those ready for work with qualifications and certificates which will lead to a job.

Our Progress 2 Work advisors help stabilized and former drug users move into training or work. This is a voluntary service which does not affect your benefits.
